Family Day Care 6 weeks- 3 years old
Children under the age of 3 years old (2.6 years old in Far Rockaway) are cared for in selected homes that are licensed by the Department of Health (DOH). The homes are regularly monitored to ensure that they maintain high standards of cleanliness, order, safety and professionalism. These Family Day Care centers provide a safe and nurturing "home away from home" where infants and toddlers can grow, explore, learn and make new discoveries everyday.
Young children learn through play. The Infant/Toddler programs utilize the Creative Curriculum which is designed to provide young children with skills that serve as building blocks for a lifetime of learning. In these settings self-esteem is enhanced because children are encouraged to be curious, learn through experimentation and develop friendships.
Pre-School 3 - 4 years old
UPK 4 - 5 years old
Children who are 3 years or older are cared for in the Learning Centers. The objective of the teaching staff at the Learning Centers is to help each child develop the self-confidence, and the fundamental social and academic skills that wil allow him/her to transition into elementary school and excel in their future endeavors.
Each month focuses on a theme, and each day is filled with fun activities that excite and help toddlers develop in ways that give them the comfort and confidence to grow and develop both cognitively and socially.
Additionally, Learning Centers expose the children to activites that broaden their knowledge base beyond the activities that occur in their classrooms or in their local community by taking the children to age appropriate performances, nature outings and adding music training to their weekly activities.

Special needs children are those who have physical or emotional challenges, specific learning disabilities or are gifted and talented. Special needs children with mild or moderate disabilities are already fully intergrated into our program. Transpotation is provided to and from our sites so these children can attend special instruction, therapy or counseling.
Our policy, in agreement with Public Law 94-142, guarantees the right to “free and appropriate education in the least restrictive environment”.
Blanche works in conjunction with the Committee on PreSchool Special Education (CPSE) to help parents navigate the Special Education process which includes screening, diagnosing, referring, treating, counseling and creating the most effective structure and program to meet the requirements of children with special needs.
